► Brief Description
The primary function of the Masima 1863 LNCS DCI 9-pin Adult Finger clip SpO2 Reusable Sensor is "spot check" or continuous noninvasive monitoring of a patient's arterial hemoglobin functional oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate (as measured by the SpO2 sensor). The SpO2 Reusable Sensor is applicable to a wide range of people, as long as it is an adult or a child with a body weight of more than 30kg. However, patients under this weight are not recommended to use the SpO2 Reusable Sensor to avoid unnecessary accidents.

► Caution
Before using it on patients, the first choice of medical personnel is generally the non-dominant part of the patient, such as the non-dominant ring finger, including fingers and toes. However, before connecting the sensor to the patient, a necessary step is to clean the remnants of the patient's monitoring site. Only after cleaning can the sensor be placed, so as not to cause inaccurate readings and other effects. Before use, medical personnel must carefully check whether the surface of the sensor or the core wire is damaged, and confirm whether there are damaged parts. Once any damaged part is found, stop using it immediately, otherwise it will affect the reading accuracy of the sensor, and even affect the life safety and health of the patient.
► Precautions
When using Masima 1863 LNCS DCI Reusable Sensor, medical personnel must check the patient's monitoring site frequently or according to the patient's actual situation and needs to ensure that the blood circulation of the patient's monitoring site is normal, the skin is intact, and the sensor is optically calibrated correctly. Skin ulceration, tissue ischemia, and/or compressive necrosis at the patient's monitoring site may result if the sensor is not moved frequently, if the sensor is attached too tightly, or becomes too tight at the patient's monitoring site due to patient edema. If there is damage to the skin and/or poor circulation or hypoperfusion once the patient monitors the site, the sensor should be moved. Therefore, when using the sensor, the sensor should be moved frequently and the monitoring site should be changed, usually once an hour, and if necessary, it should be changed according to the actual situation of the patient.
